BEHIND THE FRAME
Every project starts long before the camera comes out of the bag. This is how we think about story before we think about pictures.
Start with a question
We begin by asking what the viewer should feel when they leave the image. The answer decides the light, the distance, and the pace of the whole shoot.
Look before you light
Most of our decisions are made by standing still in a location. We watch how people use the space and where the light already falls.
Leave room
A frame that explains everything has nothing left to give. We compose so that part of the story stays just outside the edge.
Edit like a writer
The sequence matters as much as any single photograph. We cut until each image earns its place.
